Do you feel validated (in the action or just in life in general) when you're walking across the street and half-way through, the orange hand changes to the white walker? I do.

A war protest at UNC a couple of weeks ago. Shouldn't that kid have been in school?

A week or so ago, I was taking pictures at a french bakery in Cary for the DTH when this cardinal smacked right into the window. Of course being the concerned citizens that we are, we ran out and found this little guy fluttering on the ground. The french baker picked it up and nursed it back to health (CPR, electroshock, etc.), while this concerned little girl looked on. And yes, blatant advertising for Toyota is present in the photo. And also, the mom and little girl's last name was McClellan b/c they are distant relatives of the civil war general George McClellan (I'm not really a fan of his).

This picture is from the first Carolina-Duke game of the season. For all of you not in Chapel Hill anymore, bonfires have been banned by the town, and after our second win over Duke, they broke up the bonfire and dispersed the crowd. I don't think it matters that much, as long as we win people will still start the fires.
